Renting the Venue
If you are looking for a location to host for your graduation, your birthday or to hold a seminar, Kalmar Nation has the prefect location for you.
The Venue
Our rentable venue is 168m2 and largely consists of a large room on the basement level of the Nation Building. This room is 88m2 and can take ca 100 people sitting at tables or 150 otherwise. Chairs and Table are included in the rent and if a sound system is requested it can be acquired.
There is a connecting kitchen equipped with an oven, cooker, frying table and a dishwasher. Kitchen equipment and porcelain for ca 100 people is included in the rent. If needed, we can help organise catering.
Alcohol permit - Serveringstillstånd
If one wish to serve alcohol at the event hosted at the venue the laws according to Tillståndsmyndigheterna must be followed. This means that the event must be hosted without the intent of making a profit. All alcohol sold at the event must be bought by Kalmar Nation and the selling of the alcohol must be conducted by the staff at Kalmar Nation.
Time
Our venue can only be rented when we are not using it ourselves for our own activities. This means that the venue is mainly available on Saturdays for bigger parties. For other events like seminars, where there is no request for alcohol, there is more flexibility.
